  3. WA Health

As of July 2010 WA Health has slightly modified the Admission Status option. There has traditionally been 3 options, however the 'Emergency' option as of July 2010 will now be replaced with 2 more descriptive options called 'Emergency - Emergency Department Admission' and 'Emergency - Direct Admission'.

You will notice for admissions after July 2010 it will still show the non available option 'Emergency' and discharge prior to July 2010 will show the extra options. When admitting the patient, Simday will potentially allow you to select the wrong option, however when submitting your data, you will not be able to submit your data if the wrong options are selected.

  7. Disable the ability to create a new patient

Some facilities that have their patient data feed into Simday from their primary patient administration system do not want staff accidentially creating new patients in SimDay.

You will now be able to prevent staff from accidentally creating new patients by going to the Maintenance Menu, then clicking on System Param and then ticking 'Disable Creation of New Pats'.
